WEARING YOUR JEWELLERY
KEEP IT DRY:
Avoid wearing your jewelry in situations where it may come into contact with water, such as swimming, showering, or doing the dishes. Moisture can accelerate tarnishing and affect the plating.
AVOID CHEMICALS:
Products like perfume and lotion should be applied prior to putting on jewellery. Be mindful of chemicals like hair spray, and household cleaning products. Harsh chemicals can lead to discoloration and damage.
REMOVE BEFORE PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Take off your jewelry before engaging in physical activities or tasks that may put your jewelry at risk of damage. This includes activities like exercising, gardening, or heavy lifting.
AVOID SCRATCHING IT AGAINST ROUGH SURFACES:
Be cautious about brushing your jewelry against abrasive surfaces or materials that may scratch or wear down the plating. Store it separately from harder items to prevent scratching.

STORING YOUR JEWELLERY
USE THE KÍMA BAG:
These bags (included with every purchase) are designed to protect your jewellery from dust, dirt, and moisture, helping to maintain its lustre.
STORE IN SOMEWHERE SAFE:
For long-term storage, consider using high-quality jewellery storage boxes that are lined with tarnish-proof fabric. These boxes often have separate compartments for each piece, preventing them from scratching against each other.
CONSIDER THE CLIMATE:
If you live in a humid climate, it's a good idea to place a small packet of desiccant crystals inside your storage area. This helps absorb excess moisture and prevents tarnishing or damage.
DON’T STORE WITH RUBBER:
Do not store your jewellery with rubber products or items that contain rubber components. Rubber can react with the metal and plating, potentially causing discoloration or deterioration.

CLEANING YOUR JEWELLERY
Clean your jewellery carefully with a soft, non-abrasive and lint-free cloth or chamois; this helps maintain or bring back its shine. If necessary, you can use a mild washing up liquid with warm water and a soft toothbrush, then rinse with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth. Cleaning should be done gently to avoid damaging any delicate details.
Avoid using ‘dip’ polish or abrasive jewellery cleaners as these contain harsh chemicals and can destroy your jewellery over time. We do not recommend the use of any jewellery polishing cloths which have been treated with cleaners or polishing agents.
